Delhi’s minimal temperature rose to eight levels Celsius on Saturday at the same time as fog lowered visibility to 300 metres in some components of town, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned. Kuldeep Srivastava, the pinnacle of the IMD’s regional forecasting centre, mentioned easterly winds are usually not as chilly because the northwesterly winds coming in from the snow-clad western Himalayas, whereas clouds entice a number of the outgoing infrared radiation, pushing the minimal temperature up.

However, the minimal temperature in Delhi will once more drop to 4 levels Celsius by Monday, Srivastava mentioned.
“The WD will lead to widespread snowfall in the upper hills of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Cold, dry winds from the snow-capped mountains will bring the mercury down to four degrees Celsius by Monday,” he mentioned.
