Delhi-bound Akasa Air airplane suffers chicken hit; plane grounded for inspection

MUMBAI: An Akasa Air airplane coming from Ahmedabad to Delhi suffered a chicken hit on Thursday however landed safely within the nationwide capital and the plane has been grounded for an in depth inspection.
The airline stated the Boeing 737 Max plane landed safely and all of the passengers have been deboarded on arrival.
This is no less than the second incident of chicken hit involving an Akasa Air plane.
On October 15, a Bangalore-bound Akasa Air airplane from Mumbai returned to town airport resulting from a burning scent within the cabin, which later turned out to be resulting from chicken strike.
On Thursday, a senior official at aviation regulator DGCA stated the plane VT-YAF working flight QP 1333 had a chicken strike through the climb out passing 1,900 toes.
“Akasa Air flight QP 1333 flying from Ahmedabad to Delhi on October 27 suffered a bird hit. The aircraft landed safely and all passengers were deboarded,” the airline stated in a press release.
However, the airline didn’t share the variety of passengers.
The plane has been positioned (grounded) for an in depth inspection and the following flight has been impacted, the assertion stated.
According to the DGCA official, random injury was noticed through the publish touchdown inspection of the plane.
“Our customer service team is assisting passengers and arrangements are being made to accommodate their journeys,” Akasa Air stated within the assertion.
