Covid-19 Vaccine: Dr Reddy’s rolls out Sputnik V in India at round Rs 995 per dose

 Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories on Friday has stated that Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine have been priced at Rs 948 + 5 p.c GST (Rs 995.40) per dose.

The pharmaceutical firm additionally stated a smooth launch of the vaccine started in Hyderabad, with the primary dose administered on May 14.

“The imported doses of the vaccine are presently priced at an MRP of Rs 948 + 5 percent GST per dose, with the possibility of a lower price point when local supply begins. The Company is working closely with its six manufacturing partners in India to fulfill regulatory requirements to ensure smooth and timely supply,” Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories stated in a BSE submitting.

Notably, Sputnik V is the third vaccine India has given go-ahead to after Covishield, developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca and Covaxin, the indigenous vaccine manufactured by Bharat Biotech. Covishield is manufactured by the Serum Institute of India.
