Covid-19: Maharashtra bans gatherings, restricts timings of malls, eating places

Struggling to arrest the recent surge in Covid-19 instances, the Maharashtra authorities on Saturday introduced a whole ban on holding of all kinds of gatherings, together with political and spiritual.
The authorities additionally ordered that eating places, gardens and malls will stay shut between 8 pm to 7 am startingSaturday evening. People may even not be allowed to go to seashores throughout 8 pm to 7 am, an official order stated.
Drama theatres may even stay shut from Saturday evening. However, the federal government has exempted supply of foodin evening hours in its new set of tips.

“All public places including gardens and beaches will remain closed during the same period and violators will befined with Rs 1,000 per person. Not wearing of face mask will attract Rs 500 fine while the same is Rs 1,000 for public spitting,” as per the order.
It stated that holding of social, cultural, political and spiritual gatherings within the state is being banned fully. Auditoriums or drama theatres mustn’t enable their property for use for such occasions, it stated.
