The northern belt shivered on Sunday as chilly wave climate situations continued to comb the area. Some elements of the Kashmir valley obtained one other spell of snowfall on Sunday. Light rain was witnessed at remoted locations over japanese Uttar Pradesh and in virtually all divisions of Madhya Pradesh. 

Meanwhile, the nationwide capital’s minimal temperature dipped to 7.8 levels celsius as chilly winds from snow-clad Western Himalayas swept by means of the plains. There is not any forecast of any main snowfall and the climate is prone to keep primarily dry until January 14, the MeT workplace stated.

Srinagar metropolis — the summer season capital of Jammu and Kashmir — recorded a low of minus 2.6 levels Celsius, up from minus 4 levels Celsius the earlier night time.

Keylong and Kalpa in Himachal Pradesh continued to shiver at sub-zero temperatures, the meteorological division stated.

The tribal Lahaul and Spiti’s administrative centre Keylong was the coldest place within the hill state but once more at minus 8.8 levels Celsius, Shimla MeT centre director Manmohan Singh stated. (With PTI inputs)
