CM Yogi’s hard work paid off, UP tops in Indian Tourist Statistics

In the midst of the corona crisis, Uttar Pradesh’s CM Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi Adityanath) is continuously developing in the state. Be it renovating old buildings or building a film city. Constantly new gifts are being given to the CM State. Due to this, UP has come first in tourism today. It ranks first in the Indian Tourist Statistics.
Uttar Pradesh has become the state to attract the most domestic tourists in 2019. The Indian Tourism Statistics (ITS), 2020 has announced that 53.6 crore domestic tourists visited Uttar Pradesh in 2019, which is much higher than in 2018. In 2018, Uttar Pradesh was ranked second after Tamil Nadu.

Uttar Pradesh attracted the largest number of domestic tourists in the country with a share of 23.1 percent passengers in 2019. With this, Uttar Pradesh also secured the third place in attracting foreign tourists with the arrival of about 47 lakh foreigners last year.
According to Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism and Culture, the results of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s efforts to promote tourism are now visible. He said that the Chief Minister recognized the tremendous tourism potential of Uttar Pradesh which has many places of religious, cultural and historical importance. He said that the state also has several wildlife sanctuaries.

The state government has already identified several circuits including Ramayana Circuit, Braj Circuit, Mahabharata Circuit, Shaktipeeth Circuit, Adhyatma Circuit, Jain Circuit and Buddhist Circuit to attract domestic tourists. Meshram said that special emphasis is also being given to the development of tourist destinations falling in these circuits and upgrading of infrastructure at such places.
