BHOPAL: A civic worker fell sick after inhaling chlorine gasoline on the similar water filtration plant the place the gasoline leaked final week affecting seven individuals in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal, an official mentioned.

“There was no leakage at the filter plant. The areas around the plant are completely safe in Shahjanabad,” the official mentioned.

“No leakage has been reported to us. We have come to know that one staffer of the BMC has fallen sick after inhaling the gas while working at the plant,” Shahjanabad assistant commissioner of police Umesh Tiwari confirmed to PTI.

On October 24, a 900 kg chlorine cylinder leaked on the plant beneath Shahjahanabad police station space, following which seven individuals fell sick.

Seven individuals dwelling in slums close to the plant had complained of some well being points, and have been shifted to a hospital and discharged after a couple of hours, officers mentioned.

After the gasoline leak 5 days in the past, some individuals complained of respiratory difficulties, coughing and vomiting as a result of foul odor, they mentioned.

According to the police, after the gasoline leak was observed, the cylinder was thrown within the water on the filtration plant and the snag was fastened.
