Chardham Yatra begins with opening of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines

On the “auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya”, the portals of the world-famous Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines have been opened for devotees amid chanting of Vedic mantras.
