Centre imposes 40 per cent export obligation on onion to enhance native provides

NEW DELHI: The authorities on Saturday imposed a 40 per cent obligation on the export of onions to examine worth rise and enhance provides within the home market.

The Finance Ministry by way of a notification imposed a 40 per cent export obligation on onions until December 31, 2023.

The export obligation comes amid experiences that onion costs are prone to rise in September.
