The Centre and the protesting farmer unions will maintain talks on Wednesday. This would be the sixth spherical of dialogue between the 2 sides to resolve the impasse over the three farm legal guidelines.

The Centre had despatched an invitiation on Monday to those unions for holding the talks. Earlier on Tuesday night, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha, the umbrella organisation which represents the farmer unions, in a letter to the Centre stated the modalities for repealing the three contentious legal guidelines and a authorized assure on MSP have to be a part of the agenda. The Morcha additional stated the agenda also needs to embrace amendments to be made and notified within the Commission for the Air Quality Management in National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas Ordinance, 2020 to exclude farmers from its penal provisions.
