CBSE to not declare advantage lists for CBSE class 10, 12 exams to keep away from unhealthy competitors

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education is not going to declare advantage lists for sophistication 10 and 12 exams to keep away from “unhealthy competition” amongst college students, Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated on Friday.

The CBSE didn’t announce advantage lists in 2020 and 2021 because the outcomes had been declared on the idea of an alternate evaluation scheme as a result of exams couldn’t be performed as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.

“As per earlier decision of the board, no merit list will be declared to avoid unhealthy competition among students. The board is also not awarding first, second and third division to its students,” Bhardwaj stated.

“The board will issue merit certificates to 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks in subjects,” he added.

The outcomes for the 2022 examination for courses 10 and 12 had been introduced on Friday.

While 92.7 per cent of scholars cleared the Class 12 examination, 94.40 per cent handed the Class 10 examination.

In Class 12, 1,34,797 college students scored above 95 per cent and 33,432 scored above 90 per cent. 

In Class 10, 64,908 candidates scored above 95 per cent and a couple of,36,993 scored above 90 per cent.
