CBI books Cambridge Analytica for information theft of Indian Facebook customers
1 min read The CBI on Friday registered a case in opposition to British political consulting agency Cambridge Analytica and Global Science Research Ltd for “illegal harvesting of personal data from Facebook users in India”, ANI reported.
This comes two years after Union Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had mentioned that the federal government has ordered the CBI to probe the Cambridge Analytica information breach case over doubts of illegally acquiring information of Indians.
