Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi tests Corona positive, admitted to AIIMS in Patna

Ahead of Bihar Assembly Elections, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi has tested positive for Covid-19. The senior BJP leader has been admitted to AIIMS, Patna.

Sushil Modi took to microblogging site and said that he is currently admitted to AIIMS in Patna for better monitoring.“Tested positive for corona. All parameters perfectly normal. Started with mild temp. No temp for last 2 days. Admitted to AIIMS Patna for better monitoring. CT scan of lungs normal. Will be back soon for campaigning (sic),” Sushil Modi tweeted.

Earlier this month, Sushil Modi had claimed that pandemic was completely under control in the state.

“They (opposition) talk of Covid-19 and today it’s completely controlled here. Only 961 people have died while Congress-ruled Maharashtra has 41,000 deaths,” Modi told media persons.

Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi had earlier addressed election rally with BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain, who tested positive for Covid-19.

“I had come in contact with a few people who tested positive for Covid-19. I got myself tested today and my report has come positive,” Shahnawaz Hussain had tweeted.
