Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Uttar Pradesh after resuming second leg of journey from Delhi

NEW DELHI: The Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra on Tuesday entered Uttar Pradesh after resuming its second leg of the journey from the nationwide capital following a nine-day year-end break.

Party staff lined up on either side of the street on the Loni border in Ghaziabad and welcomed Rahul Gandhi and different ‘yatris’ because the march entered the state.

AICC common secretary in-charge for Uttar Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Vadra joined the Yatra and welcomed her brother in presence of leaders of the Uttar Pradesh Congress and Delhi Congress.

The Yatra flag was handed over between the leaders of each states at a specifically made stage.

AICC common secretary Ok C Venugopal, Delhi Congress chief Anil Kumar Chaudhary, and Congress leaders of Uttar Pradesh, together with CLP chief Aradhna Mishra, have been amongst these current.

Led by former occasion chief Rahul Gandhi, the yatra had began from the Hanuman Mandir at Kashmiri Gate within the morning because it made its manner by the busy Outer Ring Road.

The Yatra will stay in Uttar Pradesh for 2 days and can enter Haryana’s Panipat by Thursday night.

After traversing Punjab and a day by Himachal Pradesh, the Yatra will enter Jammu and Kashmir. Starting from Kanyakumari on September 7, the Yatra has to date travelled over 3,000 kms.

It will conclude on January 30 in Srinagar with the hoisting of the nationwide flag by Rahul Gandhi.
