West Bengal minister Jakir Hossain was critically injured on Wednesday after unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at him, police knowledgeable. The assault befell in Nimtita railway station in Murshidabad district. The minister was rushed to a close-by hospital.

At least two different individuals who had been with him had been additionally injured within the incident.

Hossain, the minister of state for labour, was ready at platform no 2 of the station to catch a practice to Kolkata at round 10 pm when he was attacked, a senior police officer of West Bengal Police instructed PTI.

The MLA of Jangipur in Murshidabad district and the 2 different injured individuals had been taken to Jangipur Sub-divisional Hospital, he mentioned.
