Bengal Education Minister interrogated for 4 hours by CBI on appointment of daughter

KOLKATA: CBI interrogated West Bengal minister Paresh Adhikari for 4 hours on the third consecutive day on Saturday and was requested questions concerning the “illegal” appointment of his daughter Ankita as a major college trainer, an official of the investigating company stated.

Adhikari, who’s the minister of state for schooling, submitted paperwork which he had introduced with him.

During the interrogation he was requested to offer names of all those that had “helped” him in getting his daughter’s appointment as a major trainer.

“He was asked about the various calls he had made from his mobile phone regarding his daughter Ankita’s appointment. He was also asked to write down the names of all those whom he had approached for the purpose,” the official informed PTI.

Like within the earlier grilling classes, the whole interrogation course of was videographed, he added.

Adhikari had reached the CBI workplace round 10.35 AM with a file, which sources near him stated contained a number of vital paperwork associated to the appointment.
