Bengal: CM Mamata Banerjee dials new Governor, exchanges pleasantries

KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee referred to as up C V Ananda Bose, the newly appointed governor of the state, and exchanged pleasantries with him, a senior official within the secretariat mentioned on Saturday.

Banerjee telephoned Bose on Friday night and spoke with him for round 10 minutes and so they exchanged pleasantries through the dialog, the official instructed PTI.

Bose, a retired IAS officer, is but to imagine workplace as the brand new governor of West Bengal.

He changed Manipur Governor La Ganesan, who had been holding the extra cost of West Bengal since July after his predecessor Jagdeep Dhankhar was nominated because the vice presidential candidate by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Incidentally, the state authorities and Dhankhar had been at loggerheads over a number of points, together with the regulation and order scenario, since he assumed workplace in July 2019.
