At least 14 retailers, largely run by Muslim males torched, vandalised in Gurugram’s Badshahpur

CHENNAI: At least 14 retailers, largely belonging to Muslim males, have been torched and vandalised in Gurugram’s Badshahpur on Tuesday, stories mentioned.

A mob of 200 males in bikes and SUVs landed in the principle market and focused the shops largely promoting biriyani.

The mob ransacked retailers belonging to a selected neighborhood and chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in entrance of a mosque in Badshahpur, information company PTI reported. The Badshahpr market was additionally shut down, police instructed PTI.

This comes a day after communal clashes broke out in Haryana’s Nuh. 

Meanwhile, stories mentioned that each one instructional establishments will stay closed within the Sohna subdivision of Gurugram on August 2 in view of the communal unrest within the space. 

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, whereas commenting on the incident mentioned, “The communal violence in Haryana’s Nuh (Mewat) is deeply disturbing. After Manipur in the Northeast, now such incidents in Haryana are not a good sign. I pray with folded hands to all the people of Haryana that we maintain peace and mutual brotherhood in such critical times. We all have to unite and defeat the anti-peace forces and politics of violence.”
