Assam Cabinet approves MoU with French company for biodiversity conservation

GUWAHATI: The Assam Cabinet on Saturday accredited a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the surroundings and forest division of the state and Agence Francaise de Development, a French funding company, to foster bilateral dialogue within the discipline of surroundings.

The assembly, chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accredited the MoU which can improve cooperation between the forest division and worldwide stakeholders of Africa, Asia and France concerning biodiversity conservation within the Indo-Pacific area, Water Resources Minister and authorities spokesman Pijush Hazarika stated.
