Arunachal Pradesh: Govt to put in 22 new cellular towers for higher connectivity alongside LAC in Tawang

The Central authorities has determined to put in 22 new cellular towers within the bordering areas of Arunachal Pradesh to enhance cellular connectivity alongside the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The authorities can be planning to construct a mini hydel mission for the navy. Deputy Commissioner of Tawang, Kesang Ngurup Damo, informed ANI that, 22 new cellular towers could be put in within the bordering areas of the state and the Centre has already sanctioned it.

“The BSNL and Airtel will set up new cellular towers. BSNL will set up 18 cellular towers whereas Airtel will set up 4 cellular towers. We had given a proposal for putting in 45 cellular towers and the Centre has permitted 22 cellular towers as of now.

The authorities has taken the initiative to enhance cellular connectivity alongside the bordering areas, aiming at good cellular connectivity to safety forces and civilians.

The Defence areas have been given precedence. The new cellular towers will likely be put in within the bordering areas like Chuna, Yangtse, Damteng Bumla, Klemta, Y Junction, T Gompa space, Lumpo, Zemithang,” Kesang Ngurup Damo stated. He additional stated that the federal government has additionally determined to construct a 200 Kilowatt mini hydel mission for the navy within the T-Gompa space.

“Apart from this, the government will build another mini hydel project in the Mago area. The government has also planned to extend electricity supply to the uncovered bordering areas,” the highest official stated.

He additional stated that the district administration has executed a number of tasks of each central and state authorities and lots of growth tasks are happening.
