A Chinese soldier was apprehended on the Indian facet of the LAC, Ladakh, South of Pangong Tso lake, the Indian Army mentioned on Saturday. According to the military, the PLA soldier had transgressed throughout the LAC and was taken into custody by Indian troops deployed within the space.
Troops from both facet are deployed alongside LAC since friction erupted final 12 months on account of unprecedented mobilisation and ahead focus by Chinese troops. Meanwhile, the military assured that the PLA soldier is being handled as per laid down procedures and circumstances underneath which crossed LAC.
“Chinese Army soldier apprehended around the Rezang La heights area, Ladakh has been informed about their soldier in the Indian custody. Both sides are in touch over the issue,” learn a press release launched by the Indian Army.
