AINRC chief N Rangasamy sworn in as Puducherry Chief Minister

All India NR Congress (AINRC) chief N Rangasamy on Friday was sworn in as Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
The 71-year-old three-time Chief Minister was administered the oath by Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan throughout a short ceremony at Raj Niwas. Amid an aggressive second wave of Covid circumstances, the operate was solely attended by elected MLAs, senior celebration functionaries and high authorities officers.
Earlier this month, the NR Congress-BJP alliance secured the bulk in Puducherry, profitable 16 seats within the 30-member meeting. The Indian National Congress, which was ruling Puducherry till its authorities was toppled in February, gained two seats. Its ally DMK gained six seats out of the 13 it contested.
While Rangasamy was sworn in alone on Friday, different ministers, together with these from BJP, can be inducted over the following few days, celebration sources advised PTI.
