Afghan Sikh refugees glad over invitation for Indian citizenship

Hours after the Modi authorities invited functions from non-Muslim refugees for granting them Indian citizenship, Sikh refugees from Afghanistan have expressed their happiness over the choice.
While chatting with ANI, a persecuted Sikh by the title of Amrik Singh stated, “I came here from Kabul (Afghanistan) in 2013. We were being forced to convert to Islam. We thank the govt for this decision.” Singh at present resides within the Ludhiana district of Punjab. The elated Afghan Sikh refugee, who has been dwelling in India for the previous 8 years, confirmed his passport to the media.
