‘Absurd and motivated’: India rejects Canada’s accusations over killing of Khalistani exile

NEW DELHI: India has taken a severe observe of the allegations levelled by Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau’s allegation that India was behind the killing of Canadian radical Khalistani-Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
“We have seen and reject the statement of the Canadian Prime Minister in their Parliament, as also the statement by their Foreign Minister,” stated the Ministry of External Affairs in a press release.
“Allegations of Government of India’s involvement in any act of violence in Canada are absurd and motivated. Similar allegations had been made by the Canadian Prime Minister to our Prime Minister, and had been utterly rejected,” MEA added.
India has reaffirmed its stand that it’s a democratic polity with a robust dedication to rule of regulation.
“Such unsubstantiated allegations seek to shift the focus from Khalistani terrorists and extremists, who have been provided shelter in Canada and continue to threaten India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
