AAP MLA Dr Balbir Singh sworn in as Punjab Cabinet Minister

CHANDIGARH: Senior AAP chief and Patiala Rural MLA Dr Balbir Singh was on Saturday sworn in as the brand new Punjab Cabinet Minister.
The growth comes shortly after Fauja Singh Sarari resigned as Cabinet minister after he was embroiled in an argument over an audio clip through which he allegedly mentioned methods to “trap” some contractors with the intention to “extort” cash.
Balbir Singh was administered oath by Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit on the Raj Bhavan right here Saturday night within the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Singh, an eye fixed surgeon, had defeated senior Congress chief Brahm Mohindra’s son Mohit Mohindra from the Patiala Rural seat within the meeting polls held final 12 months.
Earlier within the day, Sarari resigned from the Cabinet.
AAP’s Punjab unit spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang mentioned Sarari has resigned from the cabinet, citing “personal reasons”.
