86 Mumbai cops transferred, Sachin Waze’s ex-colleague amongst them

An Assistant Police Inspector who was questioned by the NIA within the Sachin Waze case was amongst 86 officers who have been transferred on Tuesday, a metropolis police official mentioned.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had met Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray as the house division is dealing with warmth over the Waze case in addition to the allegations of corruption in opposition to Deshmukh himself.
API Riyazuddin Kaazi, who was Waze’s colleague on the the Crime Intelligence Unit, was transferred to the Local Armsunit, a comparatively low-key division, the police official mentioned.

In all, 65 officers from the Mumbai Crime Branch alone have been shunted out, a few of them to the site visitors division, he added.
Kaazi had been questioned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) which is probing the case associated to the restoration of a Scorpio with explosives close to Mukesh Ambani’s home. Waze has been arrested within the case.
