19-year-old girl who was set on hearth in Jharkhand’s Dumka succumbs to burns

DUMKA: A lady, who was allegedly set on hearth by an individual after she apparently didn’t reciprocate his overtures in Jharkhand’s Dumka district, succumbed to her burn accidents within the early hours on Sunday, police stated.
The 19-year-old girl, a pupil of Class 12, had been first admitted to Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital in Dumka in essential situation with 90 per cent burns.
Later, she was referred to Ranchi’s Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) for higher therapy, the police stated.
The girl succumbed to burn accidents throughout therapy at RIMS, Ranchi, round 2.30 am on Sunday.
Her physique will likely be dropped at Dumka after the autopsy examination, Dumka city police station in-charge Nitish Kumar advised PTI.
The accused, recognized as Shahrukh, has already been arrested, he stated.
The incident occurred in Dumka city when the girl was quick asleep at her dwelling on Tuesday morning.
Shahrukh allegedly poured petrol on the girl from a window and set her on hearth.
The accused is a building employee, Kumar had advised PTI.
According to the assertion given to an government Justice of the Peace, the girl had stated that the accused referred to as her on her cell round 10 days again pestering her to grow to be his good friend. “He called me again around 8 pm on Monday and told me that he would kill me if I did not talk to him. I informed my father about the threat after which he assured me that he would talk to the man’s family on Tuesday. After having our dinner, we went to sleep. I was sleeping in another room. On Tuesday morning, I experienced a sensation of pain on my back and could smell something burning. I found him running away when I opened my eyes. I started screaming in pain and went to my father’s room. My parents doused the fire and took me to the hospital,” the girl had spoken with nice problem whereas the police recorded her assertion.
