122 Bangladesh Armed Forces contingent to take part in Republic Day celebration

For the primary time ever, a 122 member robust contingent of the Bangladesh Armed Forces will take part within the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. Both nations’ 50 years of the institution of diplomatic ties imbues the participation of such an enormous contingent from a pleasant neighbour within the celebrations, with particular significance. 

The contingent will probably be led by contingent commander Lieutenant Colonel Abu Mohammed Shahnoor Shawon and his deputies Lieutenant Farhan Ishraq and Flight Lieutenant Sibat Rahman. The contingent includes troopers of the Bangladesh Army, sailors of the Bangladesh Navy and air warriors of the Bangladesh Air Force.

A majority of the personnel within the Bangladesh contingent hail from probably the most distinguished models of the Bangladesh Army, comprising 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11 East Bengal Regiments and 1,2 and three Field Artillery Regiments, who’ve the distinct honour of preventing and successful the 1971 Liberation War.
