Sony Pictures delays ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ launch as COVID-19 instances rise in US

LOS ANGELES: The theatrical launch of comedian guide journey film “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”, starring Tom Hardy because the titular anti-hero, has been pushed by Sony Pictures amid the surge within the COVID-19 instances within the US.

The “Venom” sequel, which was scheduled to open on September 24 within the US, will now premiere on October 15.

According to Deadline, the delay comes because the coronavirus instances are skyrocketing within the US because of the delta variant.

The movie will see Hardy return as journalist Eddie Brock, who unites with an alien symbiote to kind Venom.

Actor-filmmaker Andy Serkis has directed the film from a script written by Kelly Marcel.

“Venom: Let There Be Carnage” options Woody Harrelson as the principle antagonist Cletus Kasady aka Carnage, a personality that was launched in a last-minute cameo in 2018’s “Venom”.

Actors Michelle Williams, Reid Scott and Naomie Harris are additionally a part of the forged.
