Shaakuntalam: As Tollywood film “Shaakuntalam”, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, inches in direction of theatrical launch in April, the expectations across the film are consistently on the rise. The makers have now revealed that Bollywood veteran Kabir Bedi essays the function of historic sage Kashyapa within the Gunasekhar directorial. “Among the Saptarishis of the Rig Veda.. “Shaakuntalam” is a retelling of the traditional story of Shakuntala and Dushyant, the mother and father of Bharat, after whom Bharatvarsh or India derives its identify.

Director and movie maker Gunasekhar has in 2015 made a historic on famed Kakateeya queen Rudhramadevi who dominated over present-day Telangana. His directorial “Okkadu” starring Mahesh Babu in 2003, was a large hit.
