Robert Rodriguez creating ‘Spy Kids’ reboot at Skydance

LOS ANGELES: Filmmaker Robert Rodriguez is reportedly planning to reboot his beloved household journey collection “Spy Kids”.

Skydance Media optioned the rights to reboot the Spy Kids property with IP proprietor Spyglass Media Group.

Rodriguez will write and direct the brand new film, which is claimed to revolve across the actions of a multicultural household very like the unique movies, based on The Hollywood Reporter.

Skydance will act because the lead studio, overseeing improvement and manufacturing.

Spyglass’ Gary Barber and Peter Oillataguerre will government produce.

The authentic franchise launched in 2001 with Spy Kids, starring Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino as dad and mom and retired spies.

When they get pulled again into motion and captured, their youngsters, performed by Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabata, uncover the reality about their dad and mom’ previous and step into motion to assist save the day.

The film was adopted by “Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams” (2002), “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over” (2003) and “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World” (2011).
