Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon be part of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer’ movie

LOS ANGELES: The solid of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming directorial “Oppenheimer” simply received larger with the addition of Hollywood superstars Robert Downey Jr and Matt Damon.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 2 actors be part of beforehand introduced solid members Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt within the movie.

The Universal Pictures challenge is a biopic of J Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist remembered as one of many fathers of the atom bomb.

“Oppenheimer” would be the first time that Downey Jr, the star of many Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) motion pictures, and Oscar winner Damon will work with Nolan.

The particulars of their roles have been stored underneath wraps.

Murphy is ready to star as J Robert Oppenheimer and Emily Blunt as his spouse Katherine.

Murphy and the director have labored on his three earlier movies “Batman Begins”, “Inception” and “Dunkirk”.

“Oppenheimer” is predicated on the Pulitzer Prize-winning e-book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and Martin J Sherwin.

Nolan will write and direct the movie, whereas his artistic companion and spouse Emma Thomas, will produce with Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment.

The studio has described the movie as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it”.

Nolan’s final movie was “Tenet”, the 2020 globetrotting espionage movie starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh, and Elizabeth Debicki, amongst others.

“Oppenheimer” is slated to be launched in theatres on July 21, 2023.
