Richard Linklater, Glen Powell group up for action-comedy

Hollywood filmmaker Richard Linklater and actor Glen Powell will collaborate once more for an action-comedy function titled Hitman. The duo had beforehand collaborated for the animated movie Apollo 10 1/2 and Everybody Wants Some.

Linklater, who has co-written the script together with Powell, will helm the movie. The movie relies on journalist Skip Hollandsworth’s 2001 Texas Monthly journal article that narrated the fascinating story of hitman Gary Johnson, a workers investigator on the Harris County district lawyer’s workplace, who performs the function of a hitman for the police requiring assist to catch people ordering successful.

Powell will star because the undercover cop who’s masquerading because the in-demand hitman, till in the future when he breaks protocol to assist a determined lady (Adria Arjona) attempting to flee an abusive boyfriend.
Hitman can be produced by Linklater, Michael Blizzard for Detour Pictures; Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman for Aggregate Films; and Powell underneath his manufacturing banner BarnStorm Productions.
Meanwhile, Powell is presently awaiting the discharge of Top Gun: Maverick, and also will be seen in Devotion.
