Posthumous Golden Globe win for Chadwick Boseman

LOS ANGELES: Chadwick Boseman was posthumously honoured with a Golden Globe for his efficiency because the strong-willed trumpet participant Levee who marches to his personal beat within the musical interval drama “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”, the actor’s swansong.

Boseman, who died in August on the age of 43 following a 4 year-long non-public battle with colon most cancers, received the award in one of the best efficiency by an actor in a movement image class.

Boseman’s spouse, Simone Ledward, accepted the award on his behalf in a Zoom name.

“He would thank God. He would thank his parents. He would thank his ancestors for their guidance and their sacrifices,” an emotional Ledward mentioned.

It’s the primary Golden Globe win for Boseman, who achieved world stardom as King T’Challa of fictitious African nation Wakanda aka superhero Black Panther within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Much earlier than 2018’s “Black Panther”, the actor had made a reputation for himself by taking part in iconic black historic figures like baseball star Jackie Robinson in “42”, singer-songwriter James Brown in “Get on Up” and the primary African-American Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in “Marshall”.
