Nashville: Oprah Winfrey’s father, Vernon Winfrey, has died on the age of 89. Earlier this week, Oprah stunned her father by throwing him a shock barbeque in Nashville on the Fourth of July. The occasion was known as “Vernon Winfrey Appreciation Day,” which included a barber chair to honor his lengthy profession as a barber and proudly owning his personal store in Nashville for practically 50 years.
