Old teaser guarantees a basic M Night Shyamalan movie

The teaser of M Night Shyamalan’s Old is out. The movie screams basic Shyamalan with an unsettling tone and twisty plot.
The film relies on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederik Peeters.
A household arrives to trip on a seashore someplace in Central America. The spot is gorgeous, the water fairly and the solar is shining down upon the members of the family. Everything seems idyllic.

But this being an M Night Shyamalan film, nothing can keep idyllic for lengthy. Happiness has a brief span in his cinematic worlds. It seems the members of the family are ageing shortly. They, in truth, seem to spend their whole lifetime in a single day.
There are few filmmakers whose films range in high quality as a lot as Shyamalan’s. His movies vary from glorious to disposable, generally even in a single franchise — from Unbreakable to Glass.
But Old, at the very least going by the teaser, is the place M Night Shyamalan is at his greatest. The teaser is brief, but when it delivers on its promise, Old goes to be a good-old Shyamalan thriller — unpredictable, darkish and gripping.

The official synopsis reads, “This summer, visionary filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan unveils a chilling, mysterious new thriller about a family on a tropical holiday who discover that the secluded beach where they are relaxing for a few hours is somehow causing them to age rapidly … reducing their entire lives into a single day. ”
Old is scheduled to be launched on July 23, 2021.
