Music composer Ricky Kej wins third Grammy Award, dedicates his trophy to ‘India’

LOS ANGELES: Music composer Ricky Kej, primarily based out of Bengaluru, has gained his third Grammy Award for the album ‘Divine Tides’.
The US-born musician shared the award with Stewart Copeland, the drummer of the enduring British rock band The Police, who collaborated with Kej on the album.
At the sixty fifth Annual Grammy Awards, the duo earned the gramophone trophy in the most effective immersive audio album winner class.
They had gained a Grammy in the most effective new age album class for a similar album final 12 months.
“Congrats Best Immersive Audio Album winner – ‘Divine Tides’ Eric Schilling, immersive mix engineer; @copelandmusic, @rickykej & Herbert Waltl, immersive producers (Stewart Copeland & Ricky Kej) #GRAMMYs,” introduced the Recording Academy, the organisation behind Grammy Awards, on its official Twitter web page.
After bagging the trophy, Kej took to Twitter and expressed pleasure on his win. He wrote, “Just won my 3rd Grammy Award. Extremely grateful, am speechless! I dedicate this Award to India. @copelandmusic. Herbert Waltl Eric Schilling Vanil Veigas Lonnie Park.”

‘Divine Tides’ is a nine-song album that goals to ship the message that “each individual life plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance that serves all equally”.
Kej took residence his first Grammy in the most effective new age album class for ‘Winds of Samsara’ again in 2015. As a part of his work with The Police, Copeland has gained 5 Grammys. With Kej as a collaborator, that is his second award.
