Mindy Kaling adapting ‘Hana Khan Carries On’ novel as Amazon movie

LOS ANGELES: Actor-writer Mindy Kaling and Amazon Studios are engaged on a characteristic movie adaptation of the novel “Hana Khan Carries On” by Uzma Jalaluddin.

According to Variety, the story places a contemporary Muslim spin on a premise first made well-known by the Ernst Lubitsch basic “The Shop Around the Corner”, which was later up to date with Nora Ephron’s “You’ve Got Mail”.
