Millicent Simmonds, Rachel Brosnahan to guide ‘Helen & Teacher’

LOS ANGELES: Titled ‘Helen & Teacher’, the interval biographical drama shall be directed by Wash Westmoreland of ‘Still Alice’ fame, as per The Hollywood Reporter.

Simmonds, who will painting Helen Keller within the movie, is the truth is a distant cousin of the activist.

Brosnahan will star as Anne Sullivan, Keller’s dedicated but controlling translator and companion.

Set throughout the early 1900s, the film will comply with Keller’s tumultuous time at Radcliffe College of Harvard University when her quickly increasing worldview and sexual awakening brings her into direct battle with the extra conservative Sullivan.

When Ms. Sullivan is courted by the younger and sensible writer, John Macy, tensions escalate between the 2 girls threatening the bonds of their friendship.

‘Helen & Teacher’ has a screenplay by Laetitia Mikles and Westmoreland. It was written in session with a staff at Helen Keller National Center for Youth and Adults.

A Killer Films and Sugar23 manufacturing, the movie shall be produced by Sukee Chew and Pamela Koffler. Victor Paul Wajnberg and Russ Posternak will function government producers.
