Luke Combs apologises for utilizing Confederate flag imagery

LOS ANGELES: Country singer Luke Combs has apologised for utilizing the Confederate flag imagery in pictures early on in his profession. He says his understanding of the problem was completely different within the preliminary days.

The Confederate flag was an unofficial flag of the Confederate states of America. It was broadly used as a battle flag by the Army of Northern Virginia and the Army of Tennessee in the course of the Civil War.

Luke used the flag in earlier pictures and in a 2015 music video for Ryan Upchurch’s model of his track “Can I get an outlaw”.

“There is no excuse for those images. “I feel, as a youthful man, that was a picture that I related to imply one thing else. And as I’ve grown in my time as an artist, and because the world has modified drastically within the final 5 to seven years (when the photographs have been created), I’m now conscious how painful that picture might be to another person. “I apologise for being associated with that. Hate is not a part of my core values, and it’s not something I consider a part of myself at all,” he added.
