Actor Kate Winslet says she is aware of many homosexual actors in Hollywood who’re fearful of popping out as they worry it is going to forestall them from getting heterosexual characters. The 45-year-old actor believes it’s more durable for males to come back out in Hollywood as they worry not getting good roles. The notion that homosexual actors can’t play straight characters, she mentioned, “should be almost illegal”.
“You would not believe how widespread it is. And it can’t just be distilled to the question about gay actors playing gay parts. Because actors, in some cases, are choosing not to come out for personal reasons. And it’s nobody’s business,” Winslet mentioned, hoping that younger actors really feel safer about their careers, no matter their sexual orientation.
