Karthik Subbaraj publicizes Jigarthanda sequel on movie’s eighth anniversary

Director Karthik Subbaraj on Monday stated he’s engaged on the sequel of his 2014 motion comedy movie Jigarthanda. The filmmaker made the announcement on the eighth anniversary of the Tamil film’s launch.

“It’s been 8 years since you tasted ‘Jigarthanda’. Now it’s time for…” Karthik teased in a video shared on Twitter marking the milestone.

Jigarthanda follows a budding filmmaker who decides to attract inspiration from the lifetime of a gangster for his characteristic movie. Things go awry when he will get caught snooping on the mafia.

It starred Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Lakshmi Menon, Karunakaran and Guru Somasundaram. The movie received two National Film Awards for greatest supporting actor for Simha and greatest enhancing for Vivek Harshan.

According to the video shared by Karthik, Jigarthanda 2 is within the scripting stage.

Plot and forged particulars concerning the sequel are unknown.
