Kari Skogland to direct crime drama Wind River sequel

Emmy-nominated director Kari Skogland will helm the sequel to the 2017 crime drama Wind River, which is in manufacturing. The movie, titled Wind River: The Next Chapter, will see Martin Sensmeier reprise his function from the unique movie, with manufacturing starting in January.
Wind River was a 2017 crime movie written and directed by Taylor Sheridan that adopted an FBI Agent who teamed up with a wildlife tracker to resolve the homicide of a younger girl on a Native American reservation. It starred Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Gil Birmingham, Jon Bernthal, Graham Greene, and Sensmeier. Sensmeier performed Chip, the brother of the murdered woman.
Wind River: The Next Chapter will start with Chip, who’s a newly registered tracker for the U.S. Fish & Game Administration. When a sequence of “ritualistic murders” on the reservation goes unsolved, the FBI enlists Chip for assist. He quickly finds himself caught between the FBI, a vigilante, and the folks on the reservation he’s lived together with his entire life. Sensmeier is the one forged member introduced for the sequel up to now.
