Justin Timberlake to star in ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ sequence for Apple

LOS ANGELES: Actor-singer Justin Timberlake is about to play American host Chuck Barris in an hour-long drama sequence.
The untitled sequence, whose script has been acquired by Apple TV Plus, will probably be based mostly on Barris’ 1984 memoir “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, reported Deadline.
In the e book, Barris had claimed that his public identification because the “Gong Show” host and creator of sport reveals like “The Dating Game” and “The Newlywed Game” was truly a canopy for his actual job as a CIA murderer.
The e book was beforehand become a 2002 film, which was directed by George Clooney and featured Oscar winner Sam Rockwell as Barris.
Miramax and Paramount Television Studios will co-produce the present.
“Ray Donovan” govt producer David Hollander would be the showrunner, together with author Jon Worley, who has penned the pilot.
The present will mark Timberlake’s second undertaking at Apple TV Plus after he featured in film “Palmer”, which launched on the streamer’s platform in January this yr.
