Jodie Whittaker leaving ‘Doctor Who’ after three seasons

LONDON: Actor Jodie Whittaker, the primary lady to play the Time Lord in BBC’s “Doctor Who”, will exit the sci-fi sequence in 2022.

Whittaker, who has been enjoying the thirteenth physician since 2017, will go away after her third season.

The actor will seem in a six-part occasion serial in addition to three specials earlier than departing the sequence, BBC stated in an announcement on Friday.

Besides Whittaker, showrunner Chris Chibnall can be leaving the long-running sequence.

Chibnall concurred with the actor and stated that that they had made a ‘three sequence and out’ pact with one another in the beginning of “this once-in-a-lifetime blast”.

She’s been the gold normal main actor, shouldering the accountability of being the primary feminine Doctor with fashion, power, heat, generosity and humour.

“She captured the public imagination and continues to inspire adoration around the world, as well as from everyone on the production. I can’t imagine working with a more inspiring Doctor – so I’m not going to,” he added.

The thirteenth sequence of “Doctor Who” will air in the direction of the top of 2021.
