Don’t surrender: Anthony Hopkins celebrates 45 years of sobriety

LONDON: Veteran movie and stage actor Anthony Hopkins on Wednesday marked 45 years of sobriety and shared a message of hope particularly aimed in the direction of the youthful viewers members with alcohol and/or substance abuse.

The Oscar winner took to Twitter to share a one-minute video, by which he urged folks to “hang in there” amid the raging coronavirus pandemic that scarred the 12 months that was.

“It’s been a tricky 12 months, stuffed with grief and unhappiness for a lot of, many individuals. Forty-five years in the past at this time, I had a wake-up name. I used to be heading for catastrophe consuming myself to dying.
