Colin Farrell to reprise Penguin position for HBO Max’s ‘The Batman’ spin-off sequence

LOS ANGELES: Actor Colin Farrell has signed on to return as DC comedian villain the Penguin in “The Batman” spin-off sequence, set at streaming platform HBO Max.

Farrell, who will likely be making his debut because the Penguin in Matt Reeves-directed ‘The Batman’ film, will even function govt producer on the sequence.

According to Variety, the present centres on the villain’s rise to energy within the Gotham prison underworld.

Lauren LeFranc is connected to write down the script.

Reeves and “The Batman” movie’s producer Dylan Clark will govt produce the Penguin sequence beneath their sixth & Idaho and Dylan Clark Productions banners, respectively.

Warner Bros Television will produce.

The Penguin, aka Oswald Cobblepot, is likely one of the most iconic villains from DC’s Batman universe.

The character has beforehand been performed by actors Burgess Meredith, Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor.

“The Batman” film, starring Robert Pattinson because the titular superhero, is scheduled to be launched on March 4, 2020.
