Bridgerton returns with extra balls, courtships and gossip

Hit Netflix collection Bridgerton returns to screens this Friday with extra glitzy balls, romantic courtships, and naturally, loads of gossip columns setting Regency London’s excessive society alight.

Based on the books by Julia Quinn, Season 2 of the interval drama focuses on eldest Bridgerton sibling Lord Anthony Bridgerton, performed by Jonathan Bailey, as he embarks on a seek for a spouse.

His consideration turns to debutante Edwina Sharma, performed by Charithra Chandran, newly arrived from India together with her household. “We’re telling this incredibly emotional and fraught and charged and complex sexy and steamy enemies-to-lovers love story,” present creator Chris Van Dusen stated of Season 2. “It’s lots of fraught looks and charged looks across the room and finger grazes and hand touches.”

Season 2 expands on the tales of the opposite Bridgerton siblings – Benedict as a wannabe artist and painter, Colin getting back from his travels, enthusiastic to show he has matured, and Eloise, who additionally makes her debut, is ever extra fascinated by her books, the feminist motion and outing Lady Whistledown, the mysterious creator of the gossip columns.
