Bezos will get the lion’s share: Amul’s ‘topical’ doodle celebrates Amazon’s acquisition of MGM

MUMBAI: Known for its light-hearted billboards and topicals, Dairy model Amul on Saturday, celebrated Amazon’s acquisition of the enduring Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) Studios in a USD 8.45 billion deal, by dedicating a particular cartoon to the e-commerce firm’s founder Jeff Bezos.

On Twitter, Amul shared the brand new cartoon titled ‘My Golden Makhan’ with the MGM letters marked in golden ink, consistent with the legendary film homes.

The doodle options Bezos standing subsequent to Leo, the eighth lion, that’s getting used within the MGM emblem since 1957. On Wednesday, the film studio residence to the ‘James Bond’ franchise, leisure firm — Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM)– and Amazon introduced a definitive merger settlement underneath which Amazon will purchase MGM for USD 8.45 billion.

Known for its roaring lion emblem, MGM is among the oldest Hollywood studios, based in 1924 when movies have been silent.
