Alec Baldwin fatally shoots cinematographer on movie set, injures director as prop gun misfires

Actor Alec Baldwin by accident killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounded writer-director Joel Souza when he fired a prop gun on the set of a film, a sheriff’s workplace in New Mexico advised the New York Times.
“We’re trying to determine right now how and what type of projectile was used in the firearm,” Juan Rios, a spokesman for the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, advised NYT.

Halyna was airlifted to Albuquerque’s University of New Mexico Hospital, however couldn’t survive, and Souza is presently receiving emergency care at one other hospital.
